Hungary's summer capital is only 104 km away from Budapest and it is really easy to reach it with either fast motorways (M7) or great train transportation. Around 15 kilometres southwest of the city lies the village of Szántód, where one can take the car ferry through the Balaton to discover the unique landscape on the other side of the lake. The peninsula of Tihany, a Unesco World Heritage site, is the symbol of the unique harmony of man, nature and history. The medieval abbey of the Saint Benedictine Order, founded as far back as 1055, with its towers into the sky, indicating the direction to the stranger from afar.
If you are looking for a more pulsating vacation programme, you'd better to visit Zamárdi instead. The tiny holiday village, located 10 kilometres southwest of Siófok, is famous for its beach where the popular Balaton Sound electronic music festival takes place every summer. This year's party will be held between 8th and 12th of July and not only top Djs like Afrojack, Hardwell, Nicky Romero, Tiesto and will bring the music, but more than 200 programs on 15 venues will get the party rolling at the 5-day mega event.

The house is equipped with high performance air condition, electric heating, flat screen tv with 130+ international channels and much more. There is a fully equipped kitchen at our guests disposal and a barbecue equipment the garden.
The Cottage is located in a small township on the shore of Lake Balaton, supermarket , restaurants are in 1 min walking distance.
The Cottage is suitable for Families and small group of friends.

To make your stay as comfortable and hassle free as possible we collected some basic information about the usage of the Cottage as below:
Entrance door, blinds: please make sure that all the windows are closed and the entrance door is closed and locked anytime you leave the Cottage / the blinds can remain open/.
Sunshade: the sunshade is motorized, the switches are situated right beneath this Manual/downward arrow: Out/upward arrow: In/. Please make sure that the sunshade is entirely in withdrawn position every evening, in case of rain or strong wind, or if you leave the Cottage for longer time also in daytime.
TV and internet: there is a flat screen TV with 133 /international and Hungarian/ tv channels and high speed broadband internet in the Cottage for your entertainment.
Wi-fi login: Network: Blkv33 / password: Balaton6
You can switch channels and regulate volume with the unmarked remote control unit/the Samsung remote only operates the TV set, but you won't need it by normal use.
Garbage collection: please empty the inside trash can into the large garbage bin situated in the backyard. Communal garbage collection is in early morning on every Thursday and Sunday – please place the large garbage bin in front of the main gate /not to hinder the traffic/ in the night Before the collection day and replace the bin in the backyard after the garbage has been collected.
Sunbeds and terrace chair matrasses and pillows: please make sure that all matrasses and pillows are collected and placed inside the Cottage every evening, in case of rain and strong wind or if you leave the Cottage for a longer time.
Check-out: standard check-out time – unless it is agreed otherwise in advance - is until 10:00 Am. Please make sure that all electric equipment, lighting and the tv set is turned off, the windows are closed and the entrance door is closed and locked before you leave the Property,/ the main gate must not be locked only closed/.
Please place the key set of the Cottage into the blue flowerpot situated on the small wooden table on the terrace.
