Walk on marked trails in the Suldalsfjellene or Erøy in easier terrain. It is only a short drive to the cozy village of Sand with restaurant, salmon studio, Ryfylke museum and swimming opportunities. Day trips to Sauda are definitely worthwhile, there you will find the wonderful Svandalsfoss waterfall, a water park, golf park, restaurants and stores. In winter you have great skiing opportunities in Gullingen and Svandalen ski center. Day trips to Lysefjorden, Prekestolen, Stavanger and Kongeparken amusement park are also possible.
