Summary: The cottage is adorable. It is the implied description that became the disappointment. "Set just back from the beach." When at the cottage you will have absolutely no idea that water is any where near. I compared a major competitors site with VRBO and on that site in all caps and bold letters it states WATERFRONT. As for the private beach, only if you consider sharing a beach with 4 other properties private. As a renter of properties throughout the islands for more than 30 years I am not new to this process. My mistake, I took the words as written by the owner as written. The owner said that I should have asked specifically about waterfront.?. I left two days early. I would have been gone within two days of arrival had the airlines been able to get me on another flight. I initially asked for a return of $750, to include the two days that I left early and a reduction for the non-waterfront location. Owner sees no reason for any refund. I then compromised and asked for the two days that I was not on property. Owner flatly refuses. As does she refuse to acknowledge that her description implies that you are "just off the beach" and the plainly written words WATERFRONT on the other site she advertises on. It was impossible to resolve this given the attitude of her responses and accounts of events that also had several inaccuracies.
