Positive: Modern bathroom; new beds; great internet; dishwasher and washing machine with detergent provided; short walk to old town; metro is very close; downhill running route to the river and then lovely, flat routes from there.

Negative: As stated in the description, there is no air conditioning, which is standard for a lot of properties in Bilbao, but if you stay in August when it’s hot and humid, be warned! There are two fans in the property, but if you sleep with the windows closed, which we did seeing as the apartment is on street level and there are mosquitoes at this time of year, it made for a very uncomfortable night. Sofa is really uncomfortable and only big enough for two people, other guests have to sit on wooden chairs that are also really uncomfortable, so if you’re not chilling out in the property in the evening that may be fine, but for us it meant nowhere comfortable to relax in at the end of the day.
