Nestled in a stand of pine and birch on a secluded point overlooking Moosehead Lake in Maine. Moosehead Lodge was built over 100 years ago to be a summer residence for the Johnson and Johnson family. This magnificent 4,000 square foot lodge is used as a private residence by our family and we are pleased to make it available to families and gatherings during part of the summer and fall seasons. A vacation at the Lodge offers activities for all ages and interests: hikes on nearby wilderness trails; swimming and boating from our private dock and boathouse, wildlife photography, bird watching, antiquing, and simply enjoying the comforts of the Lodge and the pleasure of spending time with family and friends.

Summary: This is a really nice house in an awesome location. Close to town, but far enough away that it's not busy. We even saw a moose swimming past the house one morning!! We had a toddler and 8 adults and there was plenty of space for all. The kitchen is big and the dining room is huge! This was really a great place on the lake for a big group.
