Summary: We had a great stay at Regina’s villa in Lahania. The villa is an hour south of the airport, so realistically a car is required, but it’s on the main road south of Gennadi, within walking distance of the beach and a nice beach bar (Mojito) - the villa is set back above the road so is easy to get to, but still feels nice and private and with sea views. The pool is larger than most private pools (a great plus) and the villa has air con (much appreciated when the temperature was 43 in the first few days of our holiday!). There are plenty of lovely places to eat nearby: - Mojito - beach bar, 10 mins walk - Plantanos - beautiful traditional Taverna, 5 min drive to Lahania - La Strada - nice seafood restaurant on beach, 10 min drive in Kiotari - The small village of Gennadi is also only 5 mins away and has a pharmacy, supermarket, several bars and 4 or 5 decent Tavernas and Restaurants. Great places to visit: Prasonisi beach - 20 min drive. Lovely beach where the Aegean and Mediterranean seas meet. Great for water sports Lindos - beautiful old town within 20 mins drive.
