East End Cottage offers a relaxed feel, with unparalleled access to the best of the lower Hudson Valley. This charming craftsman-style home sits on a quaint, quiet block, lined with charming historic homes.
As you climb the front steps, you’ll notice the lovely woodwork that denotes this home as a shining example of the craftsman style. It features a cedar shake exterior, and a polished wood front porch with tongue and groove ceiling overhead. Double doors lead into the entryway to drop coats and boots, then through a glass door to a formal foyer. You won’t be able to take your eyes off the parquet floors with corner inlays that feature throughout the first floor.
The living spaces on the first floor are comfortable and welcoming. Blue and gray tones throughout the home amplify the natural light that comes streaming through the windows. Gather for a meal around the dining table for six, and then find a comfortable seat in the formal living room, and light a fire in the functioning wood fireplace. The remodeled kitchen leads to a powder room and backyard. When the weather is good, take advantage of the outdoor dining table, and beautifully landscaped fire pit.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms with cozy queen beds. Each has plenty of closet space, which is great if you take advantage of a longer-term rental here.
