Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The villa is gorgeous and you really are paying for a beautiful stay. The facilities including the sauna and the pool table and the outdoor swimming pool are wonderful and it was nice to come back to the villa every night. The host is lovely and helpful, he provided wine, oil and fruits complimentary to our stay. Having two kitchens is a bonus for space and it really allowed our big group to have space. You are 20 minutes from Split so roughly Bolt taxis cost us around the £20 region when split between a big group isn't bad but just something to note for when you do want to go into the city. Otherwise you are a 15 minute walk from a lovely Marina, which has a few bars, a couple of restaurants and ice cream and cake parlour. Thank you very much to the kind host.

Negative: I was disappointed that the villa looks out upon construction as it is not mentioned anywhere. There is a house being built directly opposite and we woke up to construction noise on the last two mornings of our trip even though we were told the construction won't be ongoing during our stay. I missed the note about a cash security deposit being taken - booking.com does say £300 but host asked for £500, we gave £300 and it was fine. The water is run by solar panels so we did experience a couple of occasions of cold water spells in the morning. Also the gym had equipment that didn't work - the cable machine is broken, one of the bikes doesn't work well and there is a EZ curl bar but no weights that fit on it.
