1 Bedroom House in Firthcliffe, Cornwall
Keep it simple and economical. My home is more of a cottage or bungalow which is in the original design of the builders constructed in 1920. My Home centrally located to West Point and is between 10 - 15 minutes by car. Whether you prefer to shop at internationally famous Woodbury Common or hike in numerous beautiful forests such as Historic Storm King Mountain, Black Rock Forest or many of the smaller museums in the area you can't go wrong with Cornwall on the Hudson/West Point area. The drive along to West Point is unforgettable with epic views of the Hudson River and West Point Military Academy. Cornwall and Cornwall on the Hudson offer a nice homey downtown feel that is not commercialized; additionally, one can take the train into Manhattan or stay right here in the Historic Hudson Valley. My home was in the same family for nearly 100 years; although simple it is unique and very comfortable; Driving to West Point could not be more simple and this is the nicest town within a reasonable distance to West Point, furthermore you are on the same side of the river as West Point. I would happy to reccomend places to visit!
This is my primary residence and not a secondary or a exclusive rental. I am generally not here during weekends and that is why it is up for rental.
I will provide dedicated linens such as towels, sheets, comforters and pillows that are exclusively for guests.
The closet in the bedroom will be made available and should provide sufficent space for your usage; There is also a armoire that can be made useful.
The bathroom is of new construction as of 2017.
As an older home and although clean there are some minor idiosyncrasies such as: older lightswitches, misplaced pantry, older front porch and a fish tank.
The bed is new as of 2017 and I believe very comfortable.
I will also provide to go menus and offer any tips you might find useful. Please let me know your areas of interest as the lower Hudson Valley has a lot to offer in terms of: Hiking, Scenic drives; Historic towns, Famous Museums, Outdoor Museums; World class shopping.
Due to my many plants and trees you may see some wildlife in my yard, particularly birds who like to nest in my bamboo grove.
