Your hosts are Sue & Ray who are super friendly and love hosting guests on their property. You will have this entire house to yourselves and the property is on 5 acres.
The Space:
This large, comfortable farmhouse welcomes you up a tree lined driveway into a spacious 4 bedroom home with 2 bathrooms, theatre style recliner lounge with large TV for the movie watchers or sit and relax on the soft sofas by the roaring wood combustion fire. Enjoy a hot tub in the 6 person spa while listening to the sound of nature. Featuring a gourmet kitchen perfect for the entertainer leading out to a covered rear BBQ dining area. Pick your own fruit from the orchard paddock or take your bike and go for a leisurely ride down the peaceful lane Keeping an eye out for the eastern grey Kangaroos that frequent the lane at dawn and dusk you may also spot a wombat.
During your stay you can hand feed the chickens, collect fresh chicken eggs to have for breakfast and check/fill up the water for the cattle. If you'd like to do this, instructions will be provided in the folder inside the accommodation.
If the kids love mountain bike riding they are going to love having their own track. Set in the back bush paddock of 2 acres is a mountain bike track of approx 600 meters with bends and banked corners and a few mounded jumps for fun. Sorry, no motorbikes allowed.

The Neighborhood:
7 km to the historic town of Picton offering cafes, antique shops and quaint village charm. 8 km to professional class go-kart racing track, 9 km to parachuting if adrenalin is your thing. Only a short distance to the strawberry farm where you can pick your own strawberries or go on a farm tour at cedar Creek orchard and pick your own stone fruits. Southern Highland vineyards only 45 mins drive or the beautiful south coast beaches 45 mins in the other direction or a scenic 20 min drive to Camden where hot air ballooning is popular. Mowbray Farm is also very close (only a few km's away) and they have horse riding, hay rides and other farm activities available.
Getting Around:
The best way to get around is having your own vehicles. Picton has a railway station if you want to make trips to and from the city only an hour away.
Other Things to Note:
We are a pet friendly property with a dedicated dog run. So you can relax. There are cattle on the property so your dog must be on a lead or in the dog run if not with you. No dogs allowed on carpeted rooms or beds. They are welcome to be by the warm fire inside on cold winter nights.
Interaction with Guests:
Caretakers are on site from time to time if needed. Located in a cottage away from the main house with a separate property access.
