Completely remodeled in 2021 this townhome sits on a quiet cul-de-sac in a cozy cove on Smith Mountain Lake in a golf resort with beautiful lake and mountain views. Enjoy all the amenities of Mariners Landing including 3 pools, hot tubs, a beach, the 18 hole golf course, walking trails, plenty of quiet streets for biking around, and just a short walk to The Landing, a new waterfront restaurant with outdoor dining overlooking our stunning hometown lake and mountain drop.
Just a few feet from our back door you can hop right on a kayak or paddle board and catch the sunrise or sunset. Or cast away and fish right from the bank.
Want to stay in your exercise flow while on vacation? No problem we do too, the fully equipped gym, indoor lap pool, tennis courts, basketball court, and endless trails are a few of the many features that allured us when we bought it.
Easily dock your boat at one of the many boat slips available in the resort within walking distance of our home.
Like live music and cocktails? If you rent a boat it’s just a quick ride from our place to Bridgewater where you can shop, eat, play putt putt, enjoy the full arcade with the kids and feed the fish before settling in for some waterfront live music at Mangos Bar & Grill.
Need to keep up with your work peeps? Enjoy doing that with free WiFi from our quiet screened in porch. Or the deck or patio for an outdoor waterfront work experience.
Our place offers plenty of space for the whole family to spread out with full size beds and an open airy flow.
The kitchen, hearth room and screened porch is where we spend most of our time when not outside doing all the outdoor activities.
If you want to venture away for a day Roanoke is a quaint town with lots of local eats, the famous Roanoke Star a top Mill Mountain is a great place to visit and see the views of our entire town. While here be sure to visit Mill Mountain Zoo and see our beloved animals. There are plenty of walking and hiking trails all around and lots of beautiful areas in the lush gardens where you can park a family picnic.
If you like hiking don’t miss the Appalachian Trail two of our favorite hikes are Dragons Tooth and Mcafees Knob. Google those to see the truly majestic views you’ll get at the top all within an hour drive!
Disc golf is one of our family’s favorites things to do if you are a disc golfer be sure to visit the pro level course that pro golfer, Paul McBeth, designed right here in Bedford… New London Tech Disc Golf Course. And a secret… Bedford is Paul’s hometown! For more of a novice experience visit Moneta, Falling Creek, Mayflower or Highland Park all great options with parks play grounds and great courses. All within an hour drive.
For you ball golfers be sure to enjoy our beautiful challenging 18 hole waterfront course right here in the resort. Be sure to call ahead for a tee time and let them know you’re our guest. Other course options within an hour drive are London Downs, Hanging Rock, Blue Hills, and Botetourt Country Club.
Breweries and wineries await throughout our town to quench your thirst along with locally owned shops and dining to browse and enjoy.
A few major universities within an hour and a half drive are Liberty University, JMU, UVA, Virginia Tech, and our local colleges Roanoke College and Hollins College.
Our local hospital is Carilion where you’ll receive the very best in medical care should you need that.
Lynchburg is less than a 45 minute drive and offers a whole additional town to explore.
Smith Mountain lake is one of the best kept secrets in SW Virginia! With over 500 miles of shoreline on this 40 mile long lake nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Pristine water, GREAT striper fishing, perfect for all types of watercraft. The lake never freezes and does get used year round! Lots of great hiking right here around the lake as well as 50 mile bike trail and the beautiful Smith Mountain Lake park is just a short drive by land and water from this home too.
