Campo de Ourique is also the last stop on the iconic Number 28 tram route, which is one of the city’s last original 1930s trams, and on which you can take in some of the most touristic parts of the old Lisbon. Campo de Ourique is perhaps the most family-oriented part of Lisbon, full of good pastry shops, fine grocery shops and a bunch of decently-priced good Restaurants, many of them typically Portuguese. The essence of this neighbourhood is very old, go out and do everything walking, whether to take the breakfast, to go shopping, go to the bank, go to the gallery … or simply walk by the streets full of life that characterize the area. The Royal Basilica of Estrela is one of Lisbon's most beautiful monuments and one of its most monumental churches. - Estrela Garden is a romantic neighborhood park . It dates back to 1852, and is a lovely spot for reading, for children to play, or to work out. It's right across from the Estrela Basilica, and has duck ponds, a playground, an old wrought-iron bandstand, a kiosk and a café with outdoor seating for light meals. In between it all are several exotic plants and sculptures. Seating is arranged around tables set in the middle of the market, with plenty of space for families and larger groups. It’s difficult to find place at the weekends.
