This one-bedroom, one-bathroom, pet-friendly lower unit of a colonial revival-style home is located just east of UAB, near Birmingham's Red Mountain area. It sleeps 4 with a queen bed and pullout sofa and is walkable to restaurants and the UAB campus. It's minutes from the zoo and 20 minutes from hiking at Red Mountain Park. The kitchenette allows for light meal prep. Our photos include professional shots and real-time images, so you know exactly what to expect. We would love to host you!
The Space:
Guests will access the home through a door at the back of the home by walking down the sidewalk to the left of the home. The door is opened with a digital keypad, and opens into the kitchenette and laundry area. The eat-in kitchenette has all of the basic essentials for cooking, minus a stove, oven, and dishwasher. The kitchenette opens to a large living area with a Roku TV, pull out queen sleeper sofa, designated workspace, and additional seating.
Through the living room is the hallway leading to the full bathroom with tub, and king master bedroom.
Please note you do have to walk down a few stairs and a gangway to get to the entrance of the home, this entry may not be ideal for anyone with mobility challenges.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire downstairs B unit. We do rent out the upstairs A unit separately, so the yard and parking are shared with the B unit guests. Guests will access the home down a few steps to a walkway between the house and fence through a gate.
The Neighborhood:
This is located 1.5 miles east of UAB is walkable to all of the great restaurants in the area, as well as campus. Parking can be limited, so please limit the number of cars your group drives, as street parking can be a challenge on busier days or nights.
Getting Around:
There is free street parking. Uber and Lyft are readily available in the area, and it is walkable to a variety of different restaurants.

We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 21 years of age to book.
If you notify us of your intent to cancel prior to the lapse of the free cancellation period, we will return 97% of your payment. The other 3% will already have been collected by the credit card processing company, and we have no way to return that portion of the payment.
There can be limited parking at this home. The driveway is very small and only fits one car, so we recommend that guests park on the street.
We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. All pets require a non-refundable pet fee. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. In the event that a security deposit is collected, we will retain all or part of the security deposit to cover any costs associated with additional cleaning due to pets.
