This property is 15 acres mixed with open field and forested areas. It is 5 minutes from Lamoka and Waneta Lake, 15 min from Penn Yan (Keuka Lake) and 13 miles from Watkins Glen (Seneca Lake). 11 miles to both the Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport and the Windmill crafts and farm market (saturdays) in Penn Yan. Several local Mennonite owned shops and markets of every variety within minutes. We are surrounded by rolling hills and breath taking valley views that pale in comparison to the gorge and waterfall we have right on this property! This land was acquired in 2010 and an off grid cabin was then built on it . Then came the cultivating of the garden, building of structures for guests, raising of a few chickens, and continuing to honor and respect this beautiful land while using it to be self sufficient and self reliant. We have since built a second cabin on the property and are ready to offer the original cabin for guests to enjoy! You can join in and I’ll guide you through gardening experiences and opportunities ,off grid living tutorials, gathering of eggs and tending to the chickens, and a hands on approach to spreading the knowledge that I have acquired while living off grid for 11 years. Would you like to help garden, gather the eggs, pick apples, watch a chainsaw carving demonstration....? (All free of charge, scheduling will be available when you arrive ) That is of course, only to those that wish to participate. You certainly can just come and relax in a peaceful forest, interrupted by nothing but the chirps of birds and the sound of the waterfall.
32 foot rv with slide out, nestled into its space near entrance to property. Easy access, parking mere feet to the RVsite. You need only bring your clothes, food, and favorite beverages. Everything else is here waiting for you. A comfy queen bed, fold down futon style couch, kitchen table that folds down to twin bed. The bedding all will be here when you arrive. Dishes, pans, utensils, some spices, a small selection of shampoo and body soap, dish soap and even dish towels are all provided. The RV has 12 volt lighting, a working SMALL fridge and freezer. Does not have running water. A 7 gallon water jug with “spigot “ containing spring water is provided. It is not considered potable water because we do not test the water. Use of the property included 😁 there is a small private fire pit provided.
