Summary: Our group of four adults and two boys (aged 11 and 9) stayed for two weeks at the house and it is a great place for a relaxing holiday. It is roomy and bright, and has three levels. On the top floor it has a chill-out area. On the first floor, it has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. On the ground floor it has a good-sized kitchen, a utility room, and lounge/dining area.The house is fully equipped (including washing machine and dishwasher; TV and DVD player); I think that it is a wonderful place to stay and a great base for the area. There is a parking space at the front of the property, but also plenty of spaces for a second car, if required. To the rear of the property, there is a small terrace for dining and relaxing. Beyond the low wall, there are two pools, a tennis court and a small grassy area with a small (removable) football goal for children to use. All of these can be used freely. The area is close to many popular beaches, and close to the village of Fao (5 mins), and then the larger town of Esposende (10mins). We also had days out to visit Braga (30 mins away) and Guimaraes (45 mins). There are two large supermarkets nearby, and several smaller mini mercado within walking distance. The owners, Raquel and Alfredo, are lovely. They keep in touch via the Home Away website in the run-up to the holiday and then are in touch by text during the stay. They are very organised and so helpful! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
