Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This 1900's one room blacksmith cottage has been fully renovated with all the modern amenities, while keeping its old-world charm. It sits on a 66-acre farm where you can enjoy the beauty of meeting mini Highlander cows, rare Kent sheep and even having a glass of wine in a gorgeous stable tuned into boutique conversation rooms (please see our experience listing) It sits less than 1 mile from the historic town of Middleburg Virginia.
The space
The Blacksmith cottage has a double bed with pull out trundle. The property has walking trails, pastures with our sweet pets and a gorgeous stable turned into boutique lounges. Guests will have full access of the farm land with the exception of the fenced in yard behind the main house. Their are people living in the main house so please be respectful of their space. The other outbuildings are off limits. We ask that you do not pet or feed the animals unless you arrange with us to meet you there (please see our experience liaising). If it is pre-arranged, we would love to give you an up close experience with our animals. However, you are always welcome to admire the animals from outside the pastures. For the safety of our animals, no pets are allowed. All smoking is strictly prohibited.
Guest access
You will have access to the land on the farm with the exception of the fenced in back yard off the main house. Please do not enter any of the pastures without booking an experience with us. If you prearrange with us, you may use the stables for a glass of wine. We have a firepit that is open for you to use.
Other things to note
We have WIFI on the farm and we have excellent cell reception. For the safety of our animals, no pets are allowed. All smoking is strictly prohibited.
