Positive: They provided breakfast which was good, good location, good price, we had some help from staff finding a specific trip to nearby caves, which was helpful as there are a lot of trips to choose from, plus we got a drive to the bus stop at the last minute, which was much appreciated. There are good views over the river from bar/restaurant.

Negative: There were some pretty significant communication problems as regards English from more than one member of staff compared to other places we'd been on this trip in Vietnam and Cambodia, a lot of pointless hassling on Whatsapp after arrangements had been made and agreed, difficulty with establishing what a situation was largely because of the communication problems mentioned above, a noisy start to the day given that we're right next to the main road (mind you all the hotels on this strip are), though it seemed like the proprietor might have been playing music at full blast early in the morning possibly because he thought he needed to wake us up. Room itself is basic by the standards of other rooms of similar value we'd seen - no TV, no minibar, no kettle.
