Positive: If you’re looking for a remote place with amazing view, I strongly recommend this place! You can try fishing from your balcony, since it hangs directly above the water. I do understand why this place is called „A fisherman’s paradise”, because even the knives are very sharp for filleting the fish (tested: one finger needed stitches, be careful!) and there’s a massive freezer in there as well to store what you will catch. On the contrary to the opinions I read, the house itself or the fridge do not smell like fish. The area does occasionally have the classic fishy seaside smell, but nothing too uncomfortable. There’s everything you may need for preparing a meal - cutlery, plates and dishes, pots, oven, cooker, even a dishwasher and a coffee machine (we were given one after pointing out that there wasn’t one; the owner actually bought a new one). TV has chromecast, so you can watch your streaming platforms and YouTube, just make sure you bring a powerbank, because this chromecast doesn’t work without one). The view from the balcony and one of the bedrooms is breathtaking and enjoyable even during bad weather. The other bedroom is smaller and has only a small window in the roof. The owner is on the site most of the times, he’s very proactive and very helpful. He organised an early check-in for us, he was extremely helpful when the „very sharp knife + soft finger” happened and we needed to organise a transport to the hospital. You can also buy coffee and ice cream on the site. You can rent a boat, fishing equipment and a kayak, and there are bikes on site free of charge. There’s also a big communal terrace with tables and booths with electricity and places for fish gutting. The internet was sufficient for videocalls and working online. For freedivers/divers - there’s a separate room outside with a sink and a shower with cold water, perfect for rising, storing and drying equipment or putting wetsuits on/off.

Negative: There’s no microwave, even though it’s stated otherwise in the offer (though we were able to use a microwave in another apartment in the area). Most windows in the house are leaky and you can actually FEEL the wind gusts through them during bad weather. We were visiting in the summer, but I believe winter time might be problematic considering the leaking. House is made and furnished with cheap materials, but it’s fine considering the price. You may consider bringing your own toilet roll, handsoap and dishsoap, as we have run out of them pretty quickly. Dishwasher tablets were given upon request. No hand towels as well, but the bath towels were provided. Phone reception is very weak; I couldn’t receive or make any calls unless I took a walk. (Not exactly a disadvantage itself, but it’s worth considering;) ). Overall we are very happy with our stay and the balance between cost and quality is fair. We rested and relaxed in this beautiful area.
