Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location wasn’t far from the beach. Had to walk about a quarter mile. I liked the outdoor hose and shower. I liked how there was access to a washer and dryer in the courtyard so we could was towels. The property was mostly clean. I also loved that it was right near Carlsbad village. Everything you need is within walking distance. So many great restaurants and shops.

Negative: I didn’t like that there wasn’t a list of detailed instructions regarding WiFi password and location of washer and dryer. I kept having to text the host to find out this info. She was pretty responsive though so it wasn’t a huge issue. I also didn’t like that the handles on the nightstand kept falling off and the twister to open the blinds kept coming off in the kitchen but we were able to put them back on. I also was expecting more of a beach view. It said “sea view” which we could see the sea from the porch but not much. These are minor issues and I would probably stay here again. We ended up paying about 500$/night which I thought was a bit much. Also, it’s advertised that there are 2 sofa beds but there’s only 1. That wasn’t an issue for us though.

Summary: We had the best vacation of our lifetime and we really enjoyed the stay. We will definitely be back.
