Nestled in the hills twelve minutes outside Byron, the BlueGreen Sanctuary invokes this overflowing beauty into five acres of paradise. A haven that imparts serenity with its rolling lawns, terraces and nooks, swings in the rainforest and wild ducks on the lake. Kids of all ages love the freedom, the space to run, swim and reconnect with nature. The name itself drew inspiration from its surroundings: blue from the huge sky, the distant mountains; and green from the rainforest trees.
BlueGreen Villa (Sleeps 10)
Youre drawn into the castle-like features of the living room with timber beams, a pitched roof constructed from old bridge timber and a commanding sandstone fireplace. All around are signs of creativity and the hand of an artisan in love with their craft.
The living room spills out through antique Spanish doors to an expansive timber sundeck surrounded by a luscious tropical oasis and the beach-entry infinity-edge pool with a wharf jetty.
Adjoining the pool deck the outdoor thatched Gazebo beckons with another fireplace is the perfect entertaining space for the cooler months.
The kitchens oversized concrete counter is great for concocting a feast with organic produce from the local honesty stalls. All rooms and the living area come with reverse cycle air conditioning.

Through the entrance doors, the first glimpse of the pool tiled a dark sapphire and beyond, the verdant gardens and thatched gazebo, will take your breath away!
On the ground floor, the stainless-steel kitchen extends to an outside barbeque, then open plans to the dining area and soaring ceiling of the living room.
Upstairs is the romantic main bedroom with its pitched ceiling exposing bare trusses; a king four-poster bed handcrafted out of recycled timber, and a terrazzo spa-bath with glass and marble tiles. In the bathroom, the glass vanity holds twin African bowls, and the bi-fold doors open up to a sandstone courtyard with an outdoor rain shower.
The second bedroom comes with a king bed with a 3 meter overhead bunk. Sleeps two adults or four children.
In the downstairs bathroom are a huge handmade bath, twin vanities, one exactly the right height for the little person who usually has to use a stepladder to brush their teeth, and a satin-jet shower.

BlueGreen Loft (Sleeps 4)
Perched on a quiet and private corner of the Sanctuary, the Loft has beautiful and elevated views looking down to the lake and to the west, a panoramic vista over the neighbouring coffee plantations towards the distant Nightcap ranges. Be out on the wraparound deck at cocktail hour for some dramatic sunsets!
Giant bi-folds open out onto the deck which cascades down to a Balinese-inspired infinity edged pool, with tropical landscaping making it the ideal place to relax and enjoy the Byron Bay lifestyle.
The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a freestanding terrazzo bath and an outdoor shower courtyard. The second bedroom in the loft above the living area is perfect for kids or another couple.
The beautiful handmade kitchen with a butler's sink set into the concrete counter, and integrated oven and stovetop, flows into the open plan dining and living area, which includes a wood heater for cozy winters.
