Transformed from a former boathouse, The Ferry House is now part of a two-home luxury compound, that has been featured in Architectural Digest. With a unique blend of indoor-outdoor living, the two-story residence features two decks, a harborside patio, and an open Great Room of living space, all designed around the spectacular waterfront location.
The sunny second-floor Great Room has white-washed, vaulted ceilings with beams, and is framed by two walls of glass windows and French doors that look out over the harbor. The Living Area is centered around a stone fireplace with seating. The Dining Area has built-in window seating, and the fully-equipped Chef's Kitchen has commercial appliances, center prep island/breakfast bar, and stone counters. The French doors open out to a sun deck with lounge and dining areas. Your front row seat to life on Edgartown Harbor.
One of the three Bedrooms and full bath are also on the second floor. Heading downstairs, you find the other two Bedrooms, including the Primary Bedroom with deluxe en suite bath, and French door that opens to a wraparound deck.
That deck is also accessible from the Study/Den. Like the Great Room, it is wrapped with two walls of glass windows and French doors. It also features wood-paneled walls, fireplace, club chair and built-in sofa seating, large screen TV, and work area with desk. The harbor-facing deck has additional outdoor seating.
There is also a wet bar/service bar area with sink and under-counter refrigerator. Stairs lead from there, down to the harbor level, where there is outdoor entertaining space with table and chairs directly on the dock. There is also a built-in outdoor grill for cooking.
With its heart of the village location, all the restaurants and shops of historic Edgartown, are just a couple of blocks away.
