Summary: The cleanliness was well below expectations and ruined our entire stay-kitchen countertops we well as kitchen table and living room desk were covered in a layer of filth. Couldn’t walk around without shoes on-very hard to do with small kids so we resorted to washing their feet every night before bed. We did way more cleaning than we should have had to do. The host did reach out the day of to let us know the prior renters smoked in the house even though there is a non smoking policy-the house smelled the entire time.The rental had good reviews which is why we selected to stay here so I would like to think it was a one time situation based on previous renters but I would highly recommend a professional cleaning company as it was apparent one is not currently being used. Attempted to reach out to the host before posting this review. Host asked if there was anything she would could to make it better, but quickly realized she didn’t mean what she said.
