THE VILLAGE
La Carroja is one of the 8 small villages in the Gallinera Valley, a privileged area perfect for both active rural tourism and relaxation. It is surrounded by olive groves and orange, almond and cherry trees, flowering at different times of the year with outstanding natural beauty.
THE HOUSE
Casa Nicole is well equipped, spacious and comfortable to enjoy all year round with air conditioning in summer. It is well-connected with high volume fibre WIFI in the house.
The house has an exterior patio on the ground floor leading to the garden area with a partially covered terrace, ideal to relax and enjoy the mountain views. Outdoor cooking can de enjoyed using the barbecue and paella-making facilities available.
Solarium terraces with views of the valley on the first and second floors with valley views, perfect to enjoy the sunrise down the valley and sunset over the mountains.
The house is well heated in winter with the main chimney fireplace in the lounge and a woodburner in the dining area on the ground floor. On the first floor there is a large Biomass heater combined with air conditioning in the bedrooms.
All the bedrooms in the house are large with plenty of natural light.
The kitchen (with cooker, oven, microwave, freezer, toaster and large coffee maker etc) has garden views and direct access to the outside patio area.
Main bathroom on the ground floor and shower rooms on the first and second floors.
The second floor has a spacious, quiet area ideal for group yoga and meditation sessions.
The large municipal swimming pool (and infant pool) in the village is a perfect place to chill out for the whole family. It opens during the summer months and has wonderful views of the local mountains and valley. It is a shared pool area with bar facilities and a lifeguard pool attendant during the opening hours (11:00-20:00).
Free parking available in one of the two village Plazas.
The decoration of the house has maintained many traditional local features including an original decorative clay oven (please note it is not functional).
